About the Role
Own Japan’s institutional business development, strategic partnerships, regulatory relationships, and market positioning for Monad Foundation across payments, stablecoins, tokenization, on-chain settlement, and capital markets.
Requirements
- 8+ years of business development experience, including 4+ years in blockchain, digital assets, or Web3, with a record of closing complex institutional deals.
- Deep understanding of the Japanese market and experience selling to major Japanese financial institutions and enterprises.
- Senior network across Japanese banks, trust banks, securities firms, payment companies, enterprises, and Web3 organizations.
- Strong understanding of institutional Web3 strategy, including stablecoins, asset tokenization, and on-chain settlement.
- Awareness of Japanese corporate and regulatory direction in digital assets.
- Ability to own initiatives from initial conversation through deal closure and live launch.
- Native-level Japanese and professional English fluency.
- Experience with Japanese exchanges, regulators, industry bodies, Web3 market entry, media, startups, blockchains, or the EVM is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Own institutional business development across Japanese banks, trust banks, securities firms, payment companies, exchanges, and enterprises.
- Structure partnerships involving stablecoins, payments, tokenization, real-world assets, on-chain settlement, and institutional capital markets.
- Develop senior institutional relationships and convert them into concrete product launches.
- Build regulated pathways, exchange relationships, and local credibility to support institutional adoption.
- Run deals with clear milestones, launches, and measurable usage paths.
- Own Monad’s go-to-market positioning, brand presence, and long-term financial infrastructure reputation in Japan.
- Build relationships with exchanges, enterprises, ecosystem builders, media, and regulatory bodies.
- Represent Monad Foundation as its senior representative and trusted face in Japan.
- Monitor Japan’s regulatory landscape and translate it into commercial opportunities and constraints.
