About the Role
Operate independently across the Gulf with a global reporting line and executive sponsorship, building Xsolla's Middle East franchise, senior institutional relationships, regional fundraising, office establishment, regulatory coordination, and regional team.
Requirements
- 10 or more years covering MENA institutional capital from an investment bank, sovereign investor, placement agent, asset manager, or family office platform.
- At least 5 years in a senior client-facing capacity.
- Senior relationships within GCC sovereign institutions and principal family offices.
- Referenceable record of capital raised, commitments secured, or strategic partnerships executed in the region.
- Working knowledge of DIFC and ADGM frameworks and GCC private placement practice.
- Experience marketing alternative strategies to sovereign and family office investors preferred.
- Familiarity with Shariah-aware structuring preferred.
- Experience establishing or operating a regulated or exempt DIFC or ADGM presence preferred.
- Deep cultural fluency and protocol judgment in sovereign, government, and family office settings.
- Ability to operate independently in-region on a global platform.
- Exceptional English communication skills; Arabic preferred.
- Clean regulatory and disciplinary history.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- CFA, CAIA, or equivalent preferred.
Responsibilities
- Own senior coverage of sovereign wealth funds and government-related entities.
- Build and maintain coverage of GCC family offices, institutional investors, and banks.
- Map institutional decision-making architecture and investment committee processes.
- Lead regional pre-marketing and fundraising for investment vehicles.
- Originate and manage sovereign co-investment dialogues.
- Manage institutional diligence processes, including DDQs, data rooms, operational due diligence visits, and references.
- Advise on DIFC versus ADGM hub determination and establish the regional office.
- Build presence at regional investment forums and run the events calendar.
- Coordinate government relations and sovereign engagement workstreams.
- Recruit and develop the regional Relationship Manager and subsequent hires.
- Ensure marketing and promotion comply with applicable regulatory regimes.
- Coordinate KYC, AML, and sanctions screening and escalate reputational risks.
