About the Role
You will lead senior debt origination, underwriting, due diligence, and portfolio management. You will assess credit quality, communicate with bankers, company management, and private equity sponsors, coordinate with legal counsel, monitor market trends, and develop private credit expertise.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- 6–10 years of leveraged-finance experience, preferably with a top-tier alternative lending platform
- Advanced financial modeling skills
- Comfort with a variety of capital structures
- Leadership and strategic-thinking skills
- Presentation-development skills
- Written and oral communication skills
Responsibilities
- Lead origination, due diligence, and relationship and portfolio management activities
- Lead underwriting processes and analyze companies' financial condition, products, strategies, customers, suppliers, industry, competition, management, and projections
- Communicate with investment bankers, company management, and private equity sponsors
- Work with internal and external legal counsel on investment documentation
- Develop expertise in private credit strategies and advocate for the firm
- Monitor market trends and propose solutions
