About the Role
Lead Upvest's Platform Tribe and shape the infrastructure, developer tooling, shared libraries, observability, and reliability foundations supporting its Investment API.
Requirements
- Experience leading and growing larger engineering teams in a technical leadership capacity.
- Prior fintech experience.
- Strong expertise developing scalable, distributed, asynchronous, and resilient platforms.
- Ability to connect strategic goals with engineering solutions and discuss tradeoffs.
- Strong work ethic, pragmatism, ownership, and security focus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Experience with API-first and SaaS applications.
- Experience building and running microservice-based event-driven distributed applications.
Responsibilities
- Own and shape the Platform Tribe's roadmap.
- Partner with product tribes to translate their needs into platform priorities.
- Influence technical direction, tools, and technology stack.
- Improve the reliability, velocity, and quality of shipped products.
