About the Role
You will lead the data organization and manage Tech Leads and Staff Engineers across infrastructure, applications, and integrations. You will set technical direction, review critical code, debug production incidents, own data architecture and delivery quality, and work with stakeholders on integrations and data quality.
Requirements
- 8+ years of backend or data engineering experience
- 3+ years managing multiple teams or leading through Tech Leads or Staff Engineers
- Hands-on code review and production debugging experience
- Experience with high-throughput, low-latency data systems
- Streaming, analytical store, orchestration, and containerized microservice experience
- SQL and query optimization experience
- Schema versioning, data governance, and deduplication experience
- Monitoring, observability, and operational SLA ownership
- Fintech, trading, or crypto compliance and surveillance experience
- Third-party or customer data integration experience
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow Tech Leads and Staff Engineers
- Set technical direction, hiring plans, and career paths
- Guide data-pipeline reliability and scalability decisions
- Own migrations and technical-debt reduction
- Own architecture and detailed design decisions across the data stack
- Review critical pull requests and lead high-severity incident debugging
- Drive sprint delivery, on-call health, testing, and code-review discipline
- Partner on integrations and data quality
- Mentor and coach technical leaders and engineers
