About the Role

You will lead compliance operations across customer and transaction reviews. You will set scalable workflows, quality standards, controls, reporting, and escalation processes; improve tools and automation; and partner with relevant functions to implement regulatory requirements effectively.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in compliance operations, financial crime operations, AML, KYC, KYB, sanctions, transaction monitoring, or related areas
  • Experience leading teams, managing managers, or scaling operational functions in fintech, payments, banking, crypto, trading, or financial services
  • Understanding of AML, sanctions, KYC, KYB, transaction monitoring, customer-risk review, and suspicious-activity escalation workflows
  • Experience building operational standards, procedures, quality-assurance processes, control frameworks, and management reporting
  • Ability to partner with Compliance and Legal while owning operational execution
  • Experience with case-management systems, transaction-monitoring tools, KYC/KYB vendors, sanctions-screening tools, or blockchain-analytics platforms
  • People leadership skills including coaching, performance management, hiring, and team building

Responsibilities

  • Lead compliance operations staff across KYB, KYC, transaction monitoring, sanctions, blockchain analytics, customer risk, and case reviews
  • Own analyst reviews, escalations, quality assurance, backlog management, and case resolution
  • Build operating rhythms for productivity, quality, SLAs, escalations, and continuous improvement
  • Set review-quality, evidence, case-note, decisioning, and escalation standards
  • Coach, manage, and develop analysts and managers
  • Translate policy and regulatory expectations into operational workflows
  • Design and maintain procedures, checklists, controls, and playbooks
  • Implement and drive adoption of compliance workflows
  • Build quality-assurance processes and strengthen operational controls
  • Ensure records, decisions, and evidence are audit-ready
  • Own operational requirements for case management, monitoring, analytics, risk review, and dashboards
  • Improve analyst workflows and automate repetitive review steps
  • Oversee alert and risk-event reviews and escalate suspicious activity appropriately
  • Own reporting on volumes, backlogs, SLAs, quality findings, trends, escalations, and risks
  • Support audits, regulatory examinations, diligence, and internal reviews
