About the Role
You will support the design and testing of CPU and high-speed I/O subsystems. You will run laboratory tests, build scripts and tools for validation, analyze results, help investigate issues, maintain engineering records, and follow laboratory and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral program in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a closely related field
- Hands-on laboratory testing and technical measurement experience
- Experience with Python, C, C++, MATLAB, or another programming or scripting language
- Foundational understanding of computer architecture, digital systems, embedded systems, or hardware-software interaction
- Ability to document technical work, explain findings, collaborate, and respond to feedback
Responsibilities
- Support the design and testing of CPU and high-speed I/O subsystems
- Run laboratory tests and measurements for performance, power, signal behavior, and reliability
- Create scripts and tools for testing, data collection, and analysis
- Explore PCIe 6.0 and 800G Ethernet technologies
- Assist with power, cooling, and energy-efficiency investigations
- Use laboratory equipment under appropriate supervision
- Analyze test results and help reproduce and investigate issues
- Maintain test procedures, scripts, data summaries, and engineering notes
- Communicate progress and technical issues clearly
- Follow engineering, laboratory, and safety procedures
