About the Role

You will design electrical systems for robotic sensors, compute architecture, and power systems. You will analyze and troubleshoot circuits, create schematics and PCB layouts, develop firmware, use Linux for integration and testing, validate designs with lab equipment, and integrate electrical hardware with the wider robotic platform.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
• Experience with high-speed data technologies and communication protocols
• Experience developing power regulation and distribution systems
• Proficiency with PCB design tools such as Altium
• Familiarity with embedded programming in C and HDL
• Working knowledge of circuit simulation, analysis, and debugging
• Experience with Python, C++, LabView, or MATLAB for automation and testing
• Knowledge of SolidWorks or similar mechanical CAD tools
• Familiarity with Verilog or VHDL
• Experience building Linux kernels and modifying or writing device drivers

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical systems for robotic sensors, compute architecture, and power systems
• Review electrical designs and conduct failure analysis
• Create schematics and PCB layouts using Altium
• Write firmware in C and HDL for microcontrollers, DSPs, and FPGAs
• Use Linux to configure networks and test robots
• Validate designs using oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, programmable loads, and spectrum analyzers
• Integrate electrical systems with robotics hardware
