About the Role
You will lead manufacturing execution and NPI bring-up for hardware platforms. You will optimize assembly and test operations, conduct DFM, DFA, and DFT reviews, establish tooling and production documentation, troubleshoot failures, improve yield, and transition prototypes into volume production with manufacturing partners and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in hardware manufacturing engineering, NPI engineering, or hardware operations
- Experience in consumer electronics and a complex physical sector
- Experience managing domestic and international contract manufacturers and component vendors
- Expertise in production-line bring-up, manufacturing process development, root-cause analysis, and yield optimization
- Experience interfacing with enterprise customers or external vendors
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize manufacturing, assembly, and test operations with contract manufacturers
- Perform DFM, DFA, and DFT reviews on hardware components and system integrations
- Drive NPI builds and establish tooling, work instructions, operating procedures, and automated test fixtures
- Align production milestones, technical build requirements, and delivery schedules with external customers
- Troubleshoot hardware assembly failures and implement corrective actions
- Partner with hardware design, quality, and supply chain teams to transition prototypes into volume production
