About the Role
You will support the design and development of mechanical structures, electronics, sensors, and actuators for robotic systems. You will help build and test prototypes, analyze results, document hardware specifications and procedures, and assist with integrating hardware and software systems.
Requirements
- Citizenship of a Schengen Area country, unless you are an ETHZ or EPFL student completing a compulsory internship
- Hands-on experience building complex projects under tight timelines
- Basic understanding of electronics, sensors, and actuators
- Familiarity with CAD software for mechanical design or eCAD software for PCBA design
- At least a BSc in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Support the design and development of mechanical structures, electronics, sensors, and actuators for robotic systems
- Build prototypes, conduct tests, and analyze results to improve hardware performance
- Create hardware specifications, assembly instructions, and test-procedure documentation
- Integrate hardware with software systems
- Contribute optimization ideas
