You will own design tasks through verification, develop mechanical and thermal test plans, conduct lab tests, analyze data, evaluate prototypes, troubleshoot issues, document results, and present technical recommendations in design and test reviews.
Requirements
- Recently completed or expected bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field.
- Foundation in mechanical design, heat transfer, thermodynamics, materials, manufacturing, or related engineering principles.
- Experience using 3D CAD software to create parts, assemblies, or engineering drawings.
- Ability to plan technical work, analyze test data, document results, and draw evidence-based conclusions.
- Ability to troubleshoot and conduct engineering investigations.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Create and update mechanical parts, assemblies, and drawings using 3D CAD software.
- Own mechanical design tasks from requirements through verification.
- Apply mechanical design, materials, manufacturing, heat-transfer, and thermodynamics principles.
- Develop mechanical and thermal test plans and procedures.
- Set up laboratory equipment, collect data, analyze results, and document conclusions.
- Evaluate prototypes and identify mechanical, thermal, assembly, or manufacturability issues.
- Support design verification, root-cause analysis, and verified design improvements.
- Maintain design notes, drawings, test procedures, results, and change records.
- Present progress, results, risks, and technical recommendations.
