About the Role
You will manage relationships with government, defense, and national security innovation partners. You will understand partner priorities and turn them into curated introductions, programming, events, and strategic partnerships. You will document commitments, track contractual deliverables, maintain partner information, develop engagement reporting, and coordinate internally to deliver partner outcomes.
Requirements
- Experience working with government, defense, national security, economic development, startups, or innovation ecosystems
- Knowledge of, or ability to learn, federal and defense innovation organizations
- Relationship-building skills with founders and senior government and military leaders
- Ability to turn partner objectives into programming, introductions, and opportunities
- Ability to navigate contracts, deliverables, timelines, and multiple stakeholders
- Ability to document conversations, commitments, and follow-up
- Ability to work between strategy and execution
- Ability to use Google productivity tools including Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides
- Availability to work during SXSW, DREAMCON, and Startup Week
- Reliable transportation
Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with assigned government and defense innovation partners
- Establish recurring touchpoints to understand partner priorities, initiatives, and engagement needs
- Develop relationships with federal, state, local, defense, and innovation organizations
- Identify opportunities to deepen year-round partner engagement
- Maintain partner agreements, deliverables, timelines, and expectations
- Translate government partner needs into engagement opportunities
- Curate introductions between government stakeholders, startups, experts, investors, and ecosystem leaders
- Develop and support government-focused programming and gatherings
- Coordinate partner programming with Events and Community Engagement teams
- Support Fed Supernova and other defense and national security innovation initiatives
- Expand existing government relationships and develop strategic partnerships
- Monitor relevant government funding, grant, and partnership opportunities
- Support proposals, presentations, partnership materials, and strategic documents
- Document partner meetings, priorities, commitments, introductions, and next steps
- Track contractual obligations and report on partner engagement and outcomes
