About the Role
You will assess fuel-oxidation generation technologies and suppliers, define standardized generation interfaces, and set capacity and redundancy decisions. You will write specifications and acceptance tests, lead installation and commissioning, optimize fleet operation, and hire rotating-equipment engineers.
Requirements
- Experience evaluating competing engines, turbines, or fuel cells for operating projects
- Experience writing equipment specifications and acceptance-test procedures
- Experience operating distributed generation and improving heat rate, availability, maintenance cost, or fuel burn
- Experience integrating fuel-based generation with inverter-based resources or islanded systems
- Experience commissioning generation through first fire and load testing
- Experience working across multiple generation technologies or fuels
- Ability to write technical documents for OEM engineers, technicians, and executives
Responsibilities
- Assess and qualify fuel-oxidation generation technologies and suppliers
- Define standardized electrical, control, telemetry, and operating interfaces
- Set fuel-based capacity, unit-size, and redundancy decisions
- Write equipment specifications and acceptance tests
- Lead installation, commissioning, load testing, and handover
- Optimize heat rate, availability, maintenance cost, and overhaul intervals
- Hire rotating equipment engineers
