About the Role
You will support manufacturing activities on the Avonmouth workshop floor. You will coordinate with the storeperson, manufacturing team leader, and production manager; attend daily action briefings; move materials and products; support routine maintenance; help improve operational processes; deliver and collect goods; load and unload workshop goods; follow goods-in and goods-out procedures; and maintain equipment-testing records.
Requirements
- Forklift truck operating experience
- Full clean driving licence
- Experience working to processes, procedures, and specifications
- Teamwork skills
- Attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Support workshop manufacturing activities
- Coordinate with the storeperson, manufacturing team leader, and production manager
- Attend daily action briefings
- Move materials and products around the workshop
- Assist with routine maintenance activities
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment
- Help develop operational processes and procedures
- Deliver and collect goods or equipment from subcontractors and suppliers
- Support welders, fabricators, the storeperson, and manufacturing-support staff
- Load and unload workshop goods
- Follow goods-in and goods-out procedures and risk assessments
- Ensure workshop equipment is PAT tested and recorded
