About the Role
You will set up and operate gear hobbing machines, skiving equipment, CNC lathes, mills, and manual lathes. You will inspect gears, manage tools and materials, document workflow and non-conformances, train colleagues, and perform preventive maintenance and repairs.
Requirements
- 10+ years of related industry experience
- Proficiency in gear hobbing processes, tooling selection, and setup
- Experience with gear skiving for internal profiles and splines
- Knowledge of gear geometry, tolerances, and quality standards
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and gear specifications
Responsibilities
- Assess project tooling and materials
- Set up and operate gear hobbing machines
- Perform gear skiving for internal gears and splines
- Set up and operate CNC lathes, manual mills, and lathes
- Inspect gears using appropriate inspection methods
- Improve designs and manufacturing efficiency
- Train team members
- Maintain inventories of cutting tools, raw materials, and gear blanks
- Document workflow, inspection results, and non-conformances
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on machines and equipment
