About the Role
You will analyze natural gas markets, maintain forward curves, quantify physical and financial exposures, and run risk scenarios. You will support hedge execution, monitor counterparty credit, produce risk reporting, and build analytical tools that improve reporting and risk methodologies.
Requirements
- 4+ years of commodities risk, market analysis, or trading-support experience
- Quantitative and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Excel
- Knowledge of ETRM systems and US gas-market structure
- Familiarity with VaR, stress testing, and hedging instruments
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, mathematics, or a related quantitative field
Responsibilities
- Track gas-market prices and regional supply and demand fundamentals
- Produce market commentary and maintain forward curves
- Build exposure reporting for physical, financial, and basis positions
- Run VaR, stress tests, and scenario analysis
- Model PnL impacts from disruptions, weather events, and basis changes
- Support hedging strategy and execution
- Track hedge-accounting documentation
- Monitor counterparty credit exposure
- Produce risk reports and support audits and regulatory reporting
- Build Python, SQL, and Power BI reporting tools
- Refine risk methodologies and assumptions
