About the Role
You will lead an engineering team to deliver scalable, high-quality, and reliable solutions aligned with product and technical goals. You'll own technical execution by translating product requirements into engineering plans, technical designs, and implementation strategies, while reviewing and validating Technical Design Documents. You'll lead sprint planning, estimation, prioritization, and delivery coordination, removing blockers and improving Agile processes along the way. You'll act as the primary technical liaison between engineering and non-engineering stakeholders, communicating trade-offs and managing expectations around scope and timelines. You'll drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices and tools, encouraging innovation and continuous learning. You'll support your team members' growth through mentoring, coaching, and feedback, fostering a collaborative and psychologically safe culture. You'll ensure alignment between architectural decisions, engineering priorities, and business objectives, and maintain high standards for technical documentation and knowledge sharing. You'll also promote engineering best practices including code quality, testing, observability, security, and performance optimization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, including at least 1 year leading or mentoring engineering teams
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency in .NET Core, including building scalable APIs, microservices, and backend systems
- Proficiency in modern frontend development including SPA development with Vue, React, or Angular, plus Node.js ecosystem and build tooling
- Strong expertise in software architecture, system design, scalability, and modern development practices
- Proven experience delivering complex software projects in Agile environments
- Experience in high-traffic consumer applications
- Strong understanding of technical debt management, engineering quality, and operational excellence
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to balance hands-on technical leadership with people management responsibilities
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in fast-paced product organizations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate technical risks
- Experience in gaming, loyalty, rewards, or consumer-facing platforms (nice to have)
- Experience managing distributed or international engineering teams (nice to have)
- Familiarity with APIs, SDKs, cloud infrastructure, and platform integration challenges (nice to have)
- Experience implementing AI-assisted development workflows and engineering productivity tooling (nice to have)
Responsibilities

- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Designers, QA, and other engineering teams
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices and productivity tooling
- Support team members' growth through mentoring, coaching, and career development discussions
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and psychologically safe team culture
- Ensure alignment between architectural decisions, engineering priorities, and business objectives
- Maintain high standards for technical documentation, onboarding materials, and architecture diagrams
- Promote engineering best practices including code quality, testing, observability, security, and performance optimization
