About the Role
You will conduct end-to-end investigations of accounts with potential fraud. You will review alerts using internal and external tools, determine whether fraud occurred, analyze data and patterns, communicate emerging trends, document determinations, submit referrals, and occasionally contact customers about active investigations.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in a full-time degree-seeking business, accounting, criminal justice, psychology, or related program
- Expected graduation in Winter 2027 or Spring 2028
- Interest in end-to-end fraud investigations and fraud typologies
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Experience collaborating with product, engineering, legal, compliance, or financial crimes teams
Responsibilities
- Review and investigate proactive and reactive suspected fraud alerts using internal and external tools
- Use data analysis, critical thinking, and pattern detection to identify emerging fraud trends and detection methods
- Communicate emerging fraud trends and findings to stakeholders
- Document alert rationale and determinations and submit referrals when necessary
- Communicate with customers about accounts under active fraud investigation
