About Noise
Noise exists because culture should be shaped by the people who care about it. The company is building a platform where curators and communities surface and value trends becoming relevant around the world, covering markets such as AI, Tech, Lifestyle, Business, and Entertainment, with individual topics (e.g. Blind Boxes, Pro Wrestling, Humanoid Robots, Vibe Coding) tracked by volume. Noise is a small team based in SoHo, New York, that emphasizes passion, agency, and risk tolerance over pedigree, guided by principles like building in the unknown, seeking truth rapidly, disagreeing and committing, and taking ownership of their work. The team is hiring for roles such as Founding Product Designer and Quant Trader, suggesting a product that blends cultural curation with markets/trading mechanics.
Skills
About the Role
You will own design end-to-end, setting the bar for taste, craft, and product quality across the product. Working as roughly two-thirds design and one-third engineering, you will lead with product intuition and ship what you design directly in code. You will take concepts from prototype to production, define and evolve the visual language across web, product, and brand surfaces, and build motion and interaction systems that feel intentional and alive. You will know when to use the design system, when to break it, and when to evolve it, and you will maintain and extend that system over time. You should be comfortable delivering the right artifact at the right time, whether that's a Figma mockup or production code built with tools like Claude Code or Codex, and you should be ready to give and receive direct, candid feedback.
Requirements
- Comfortable delivering the right artifact at the right time: from Figma mockups to production code with Claude Code, Codex, or your harness of choice
- Delivers feedback with candor and takes it without ego
- Strong design fundamentals and attention to detail: typography, layout, color, composition
- Actionable taste for interaction details: motion, timing, affordance
