About the Role
You will lead complex vendor-level and multi-node hardware interventions across compute, storage, interconnect, and cooling systems. You will perform advanced diagnostics, manage risks and rollbacks, coach L1 engineers, improve procedures and automation, enforce safety controls, manage spares, and coordinate vendor escalations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of datacenter, server hardware, or L2/L3 hardware-support experience
- Production HPC, AI, or cloud-at-scale experience
- Expertise with server components, networking, power, and cooling
- BMC or IPMI diagnostic experience
- Linux log analysis and CLI troubleshooting
- Root cause analysis
- ESD, lockout/tagout, and PPE knowledge
- Technical documentation and mentoring skills
- Willingness to travel between sites
Responsibilities
- Lead complex vendor-level and multi-node hardware interventions
- Plan risk assessments and rollback procedures
- Diagnose compute, storage, interconnect, cooling, and power issues
- Analyze BMC, IPMI, Linux, and system logs
- Coach L1 engineers on safety, triage, documentation, and rack work
- Improve SOPs, checklists, and operational automation
- Enforce lockout/tagout, ESD, and PPE procedures
- Plan spares strategies and track failure trends
- Coordinate RMAs and vendor escalations
- Travel between sites as required
