About the Role
You will serve as the technical authority for facility infrastructure, operations, and maintenance. You will support electrical, mechanical, and HVAC installations; manage maintenance systems, construction activities, and projects; coordinate repairs and outages; maintain configuration control; and ensure environmental, safety, health, and quality compliance.
Requirements
- Accredited BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- At least five years of experience in facility systems, operations, and maintenance
- Ability to obtain and maintain an HSPD-12 PIV badge
- Complete a pre-hire physical after offer
- Pass a Federal Tier 1 background check investigation
Responsibilities
- Support the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC installations
- Maintain technical understanding of assigned facility systems
- Estimate design, material, and labor costs and monitor construction
- Maintain and improve preventive maintenance systems and processes
- Coordinate contract work for construction and repairs
- Manage facility and system modifications
- Manage projects and support large projects
- Write scopes of work for facility modifications and services
- Plan and schedule maintenance activities and operational outages
- Lead pre-job meetings
- Coordinate emergency repairs for critical building equipment
- Lead craft personnel in troubleshooting and repairs
- Update drawings and verify equipment and building-system configurations
- Ensure environmental, safety, health, and quality compliance
