About the Role

You will engineer cooling systems that support load flexibility without thermal risk. You will model site thermal inertia and headroom, develop mechanical operating strategies, collaborate with controls engineers, and validate models through instrumented field tests.

Requirements

  • Experience engineering mechanical or HVAC systems for data centers or industrial plants
  • Experience dynamically modeling thermal systems
  • Experience running field validation campaigns and reconciling models with measurements
  • Ability to quantify operating risk using thermal margins
  • Experience collaborating with controls engineers
  • Liquid cooling, Modelica, TRNSYS, CFD, thermal storage, or psychrometrics experience is a bonus

Responsibilities

  • Engineer cooling systems for demand flexibility
  • Model thermal inertia and operating headroom for each site
  • Design setpoint, staging, and storage strategies for cooling systems
  • Validate thermal models through instrumented field testing

Benefits

  • Equity
