About the Role
You will lead the team building the serverless containers product while remaining hands-on with architecture and complex technical decisions. You will own the container platform lifecycle across CPU and GPU workloads, improve cold starts and autoscaling, write Go, manage engineers, and partner with product managers.
Requirements
- 2+ years of people leadership experience
- Production Go experience
- Experience building container or workload platforms
- Linux expertise, including namespaces, cgroups, image layers, and page cache
- Multi-tenancy knowledge
- Experience building complex backend or infrastructure systems
- Experience partnering with product, design, and business teams
Responsibilities
- Own the container platform end to end across image delivery, placement, routing, scaling, CPU, and GPU
- Improve cold starts through snapshotting, prewarming, and image-layer caching
- Support GPU-backed containers, streaming responses, long-lived connections, and MCP servers
- Write Go and own architecture and difficult implementation decisions
- Coach engineers and set standards for ownership
- Manage hiring, performance, growth paths, and feedback
- Partner with Product Managers on platform decisions
