About the Role

You will lead and develop engineers building wallet clients, services, and onchain integrations. You will set technical direction, establish ownership and execution plans, improve architecture and release safety, and partner with product, design, security, and protocol stakeholders to deliver dependable wallet and DeFi experiences.

Requirements

• Experience managing and developing software engineers, including senior engineers.
• Direct experience shipping production blockchain wallet functionality.
• Knowledge of self-custody, private-key security, signing, recovery, transaction lifecycles, chain and RPC failure modes, and wallet-to-dApp interaction patterns.
• Hands-on DeFi fluency, including liquidity, routing, slippage, staking, lending, bridges, protocol risk, smart-contract risk, and user protections.
• Strong systems judgment across client applications, backend services, APIs or SDKs, distributed dependencies, monitoring, and operational response.
• Experience setting direction in ambiguous environments and delivering reliable multi-platform products.
• Ability to partner with product, design, security, and senior technical leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead, hire, coach, and retain engineers across wallet clients, supporting services, and onchain integrations.
• Set technical direction for account creation and recovery, key management, signing, transaction construction, dApp connectivity, asset management, swaps, and DeFi experiences.
• Create ownership and execution plans across web, browser extension, iOS, Android, backend services, SDKs, and protocol dependencies.
• Raise standards for architecture, testing, release safety, observability, incident response, and post-incident learning.
• Partner with product and design to simplify onchain workflows while clearly presenting fees, permissions, risks, and transaction outcomes.
• Work with security and protocol teams to evaluate threats and make tradeoffs involving usability, decentralization, privacy, and asset protection.
• Use data, user research, support feedback, and ecosystem context to prioritize work and measure outcomes.
