About the Role

You will lead and develop a feature team of engineers while improving delivery from technical scoping and design through shipping and QA. You will translate product goals into technical plans, review architecture, unblock complex issues, and address quality risks and technical debt. You will work with product managers, designers, customer technical teams, and talent acquisition to support integrations, planning, hiring, onboarding, and scalable engineering practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
• 2–3 years of people leadership experience as a Tech Lead or Engineering Manager.
• Strong technical foundation in backend systems.
• Ideally, experience with Go.
• Experience mentoring developers, running one-to-ones, and improving team velocity and code quality.
• Experience in a high-growth startup or scale-up with 10–50 engineers.

Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and support a team of 4–6 engineers.
• Coach junior and mid-level developers through one-to-ones, code reviews, and project check-ins.
• Define career paths and growth frameworks.
• Own and improve the feature team's delivery rhythm from scoping and design through shipping and QA.
• Translate product goals into technical plans with product managers and design.
• Identify blockers, quality risks, and technical debt.
• Review architecture proposals, debug complex issues, and prototype or ship small fixes.
• Collaborate with customer technical teams on API integrations and enterprise workflows.
• Design and implement scalable engineering processes, rituals, and best practices.
• Partner on hiring and onboarding future engineers.
