About the Role
You will lead and develop the Japan Fleet Reliability SRE team while owning its roadmap, staffing, reliability outcomes, and escalation coverage. You will improve fleet health, incident response, release safety, and operational readiness. You will define SLI, SLO, and error-budget practices; guide observability and automation; support vehicle rollout; and coordinate fleet reliability with local and global partners.

Responsibilities
- Lead, hire, coach, and retain the Japan Fleet Reliability SRE team
- Own fleet reliability escalations and high-severity incidents
- Improve fleet health, incident response, release reliability, and operational readiness
- Establish incident command, escalation, and communication practices
- Conduct post-incident reviews and drive corrective actions
- Define and evolve SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets
- Set technical direction for observability, release safety, diagnostics, and fleet tooling
- Deliver the Japan Fleet Reliability roadmap and staffing plan
- Support new vehicle commissioning, validation, rollout, and handover
- Design tools, services, and APIs for fleet monitoring and operational control
- Automate investigation, recovery, and reporting workflows
- Communicate risks, decisions, and status across local and global stakeholders
