About the Role
You will lead the engineering delivery, technical direction, and execution of subscription-platform systems across multiple markets. You will manage and develop engineers, establish technical standards, and promote ownership and continuous improvement. You will work with Product and business stakeholders to translate product strategy into reliable platform solutions and deliver high-quality software across the subscription lifecycle.
Requirements
- Have 10+ years of experience building server-side applications.
- Have detailed knowledge of Java.
- Know a backend framework such as Spring or Spring Boot.
- Have experience running microservices and implementing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Have experience engineering scalable and reliable solutions in a cloud-native environment.
- Deliver secure, well-tested, and well-documented software.
- Own code and technical solutions from development through production.
- Have experience integrating with third-party providers and partners.
- Have knowledge and experience with relational databases.
- Use AI tools and LLMs to improve engineering productivity, software quality, and delivery velocity.
- Work effectively in an agile environment.
- Communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Apply continuous integration, delivery, and deployment practices.
- Lead teams and directly manage people.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering delivery for the subscriptions platform across multiple markets.
- Own the technical direction and execution of subscription creation, pricing, and lifecycle-management systems.
- Build scalable, resilient, and extensible platform capabilities.
- Manage and develop a team of engineers.
- Set clear technical standards and foster ownership and continuous improvement.
- Partner with Product and business stakeholders to translate product strategy into reliable platform solutions.
- Ensure high-quality delivery across the full subscription lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Billing, Payments, Marketing, Data, and Finance teams.
