About the Role

You will lead delivery of the core lending platform while managing and mentoring a team of engineers. You will define technical strategy, guide architecture and development practices, ensure reliability and security, and deliver integrations and new capabilities. You will work with stakeholders to turn business needs into technical solutions, timelines, and compliant production software. You will also assess AI-assisted tools and AI/ML use cases for fintech while maintaining appropriate security and compliance controls.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software development experience, including at least 3 years in engineering management.
  • Proven experience in financial services, lending, or fintech platforms.
  • Experience building and scaling production systems for high-volume financial transactions.
  • History of delivering complex software projects on time and recruiting and retaining talent.
  • Proficiency in Rust, C/C++, Python, or TypeScript.
  • Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and AWS.
  • Familiarity with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and caching solutions.
  • Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
  • Strong security knowledge for financial and blockchain applications.
  • Working knowledge of crypto assets, blockchain technology, smart contracts, custody solutions, lending mechanics, AML/KYC regulations, and DeFi.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks, agentic development tools, LLMs, AI agents, and fintech AI use cases.

Responsibilities

  • Lead sprint planning, code reviews, and architectural discussions.
  • Define and enforce coding standards, security practices, and development workflows.
  • Ensure platform reliability through monitoring, alerting, and incident management.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions and timelines with stakeholders.
  • Drive technical debt remediation and continuous delivery of new capabilities.
  • Evaluate and integrate third-party services, including custodians, KYC providers, and data feeds.
  • Manage and mentor a team of 10–15 engineers.
  • Drive the development roadmap for platform features, integrations, and enhancements.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software that meets business and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee platform architecture for scalability, performance, and reliability.
  • Architect microservices, API layers, and event-driven components.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code, and observability frameworks.
  • Evaluate and adopt agentic coding frameworks and AI-assisted development tools.
  • Identify AI/ML opportunities for risk assessment, automation, and customer experiences.
  • Prototype AI-driven features while maintaining compliance and security controls.
