About the Role
You will lead engineers building search indexing, retrieval, ranking, and serving systems. You will own platform strategy and search quality, operate latency-sensitive systems at scale, prioritize product needs, collaborate across functions, investigate relevance changes, and recruit engineers.

Responsibilities
- Lead engineers building indexing, retrieval, ranking, and serving systems
- Own the platform strategy and roadmap
- Own search-quality evaluation, relevance measurement, regression detection, and ranking improvements
- Operate the platform while balancing traffic, research, and training demand
- Prioritize search experience needs and represent search in product discussions
- Drive collaboration with product, research, and infrastructure partners
- Conduct design reviews, incident follow-ups, and relevance investigations
- Recruit, close, and retain engineers
