About the Role

You will lead and grow a team of 9+ engineers, set technical and product direction for Plaid in Europe, shape roadmaps and tradeoffs, dive into technical design, unblock complex problems, and represent engineering in leadership decisions.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of industry experience
  • Staff-level engineering experience before transitioning into management
  • 2-3+ years of engineering management experience
  • Experience building and growing engineering teams
  • Experience owning a production product area
  • Experience designing scalable and reliable systems
  • Strong technical judgment
  • Experience in fintech, payments, credit, or regulated domains
  • Experience leading teams in international or multi-region environments
  • Startup or founder experience
