About the Role
You will lead day-to-day engineering delivery, technical direction, architecture, team health, and personnel management while remaining hands-on in the codebase. You will ship critical payment-path code, resolve production issues, mentor engineers, manage delivery, and gradually take operational ownership from the CTO.

Responsibilities
- Write, review, and ship production code on critical payment paths
- Debug production incidents, reliability gaps, performance issues, and correctness issues
- Set technical direction and make architecture decisions
- Raise engineering standards through code review and example
- Own delivery planning, sequencing, and execution
- Mentor and develop engineers
- Manage engineers through one-on-ones, feedback, performance management, and hiring
- Own engineering processes and project accountability
- Report personnel matters and team health to the CTO
