About the Role

You will lead the Data Engineering pod and own ingestion, lakehouse architecture, orchestration, data quality, governance, cost controls, and self-service datasets. You will support production operations, review data models and pipelines, write code when needed, and grow the engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Data Engineering pod
  • Own data engineering roadmap, standards, and platform
  • Own batch, streaming, and change-data-capture ingestion
  • Own lakehouse bronze, silver, and gold layers
  • Own pipeline orchestration, CI/CD, testing, backfills, and schema changes
  • Define and monitor data quality and reliability standards
  • Own data governance, access control, lineage, retention, and residency
  • Manage platform storage and compute costs
  • Build self-service data capabilities
  • Build data foundations for machine learning and AI
  • Review data models and debug pipelines
  • Hire and develop data engineers
