About the Role

You will lead the engineering of clearing, payments, risk, and FCM systems. You will build reliable money-movement controls, oversee settlement and reconciliation, partner with operational and compliance stakeholders, and hire and manage senior engineers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years of engineering management experience
• Experience shipping financial systems in production
• Direct experience with at least two of FCM operations, clearing and settlement, or payments infrastructure
• Knowledge of the CFTC framework for customer fund segregation, margining, reconciliation, and reporting
• Knowledge of double-entry ledgers, idempotency, reconciliation, and external-partner failure handling
• Written communication with engineering, operations, finance, and compliance stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering for the FCM program, including onboarding, fund segregation, margin, collateral, and clearinghouse integration
• Own the clearing engine and post-trade processes, including settlement, position management, reconciliation, and ledger systems
• Own deposits, withdrawals, payment risk checks, and processor and banking integrations
• Build real-time risk controls, exposure limits, and monitoring
• Translate regulatory and operational requirements into auditable systems
• Hire, grow, and manage senior engineers
• Set technical standards, run on-call, and make design decisions
