About the Role
You will lead engineers responsible for application traffic infrastructure, set the technical roadmap, and drive complex cross-functional initiatives. You will guide the evolution of service mesh capabilities, routing, reliability, scalability, and developer experience while recruiting and developing engineers.
Requirements
- 9+ years of professional software engineering experience
- 2+ years of engineering leadership experience
- Experience managing teams working on distributed systems, networking infrastructure, cloud infrastructure, or platform infrastructure
- Strong technical judgment in complex systems architecture
- Experience leading large cross-functional engineering initiatives
- Understanding of reliability, scalability, performance, and operational excellence
- Experience developing senior engineers and building high-performing teams
- Written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Lead, grow, and develop engineers responsible for application traffic infrastructure
- Drive the design and evolution of highly available distributed systems across clouds and regions
- Partner on architectural decisions involving routing, control planes, reliability, scalability, and developer experience
- Lead large cross-functional projects
- Establish goals, milestones, ownership boundaries, and operating mechanisms
- Recruit and develop engineers
