About the Role

You will own front-of-meter energy supply planning for grid-connected data center sites. You will source and negotiate power agreements, evaluate risk and pricing, coordinate approvals, support utility and interconnection negotiations, manage signed contracts, and engage in tariff and market-rule matters.

Requirements

• 10+ years in power origination, structuring, or energy procurement
• Experience leading PPAs or long-term supply contracts from term sheet through signature
• Experience buying or selling power for large loads
• Knowledge of at least two US ISO/RTO markets
• Ability to build and assess energy deal valuations
• Ability to review and mark up PPAs
• Knowledge of credit support and project finance
• Experience coordinating with finance, legal, policy, site origination, and scheduling teams

Responsibilities

• Own front-of-meter supply planning for grid-connected sites and markets
• Build relationships with generators, developers, power producers, and suppliers
• Run solicitations and bilateral negotiations and compare supply offers
• Structure and negotiate PPAs, tolls, capacity agreements, and other supply contracts
• Coordinate supply contracts with utility service agreements and market rules
• Design supply portfolios that support ratepayer protection
• Work with Energy Finance on deal valuation and risk
• Prepare deal memos and secure internal approvals
• Manage contracts through commercial operation, amendments, disputes, and handoff
• Support utility-service, interconnection, load-study, tariff, and ISO/RTO negotiations
