About the Role
You will manage US employment disputes and litigation through resolution, instruct external counsel, and advise on employment risk. You will support escalated employee matters, build legal frameworks and playbooks, advise on employment-law topics, train HR colleagues and managers, and help shape global employment legal strategy.
Requirements
- 7+ years of employment law experience
- US employment litigation experience
- Experience directing external counsel
- Admission to practice in the United States and good standing
- Availability to work from the New York office and travel periodically
- Written and spoken English
Responsibilities
- Manage US employment disputes and litigation through resolution
- Instruct and manage external counsel
- Advise on legal risk and practical business outcomes
- Support HR colleagues on escalated employee matters
- Build employment-law frameworks, playbooks, and policy reviews
- Advise on wage and hour, discrimination, accommodation, classification, leave, and pay transparency
- Develop global employment legal strategy with international colleagues
- Train HR colleagues, people leads, and managers
