About the Role
You will advise European entities on legal, regulatory, compliance, corporate governance, product, contract, sales, partnership, and marketing matters. You will assess digital-asset risks, manage asset reviews and licensing obligations, oversee litigation and outside counsel, maintain policies, and provide practical legal guidance across the business.
Requirements
- Doctor of Law or Master in Advocacy degree
- Warrant to practice as an Advocate under Maltese law
- Residence in Malta
- 5+ years of top-tier law-firm or in-house legal experience
- Experience in financial services or crypto preferred
- Knowledge or strong interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain legal issues
- Ability to advise business teams and navigate legal ambiguity
- Cross-jurisdictional and global legal-team experience
- Contract drafting, review, and negotiation
Responsibilities
- Support legal matters including complaints, litigation, product development, corporate governance, contracts, regulation, compliance, sales, partnerships, and marketing
- Analyze legal risks of digital assets and manage the legal component of asset reviews
- Manage civil or regulatory litigation and supervise outside counsel when needed
- Manage licensing obligations, regulator communications, and internal policies
- Collaborate on company-wide projects with product and business development teams
- Assist with corporate governance and corporate matters
- Manage legal requests and advise on legal concepts and risks
