About the Role
You will improve the end-to-end experience for developers who configure, deploy, and manage cloud compute programmatically. You will design developer-facing interactions across the CLI, API, SDK, documentation, and AI-assisted tooling. You will create patterns for errors, authentication, API responses, onboarding, and documentation flows, while identifying and resolving workflow friction with Product and Engineering.
Requirements
- 4+ years of UX or product design experience focused on developer-facing products
- Experience designing CLIs, APIs, SDKs, documentation, or developer portals
- Coding experience sufficient to validate developer flows hands-on
- Ability to prototype interactions from concept sketches to functional prototypes
- Familiarity with cloud compute concepts including instances, storage, networking, Kubernetes, and inference workloads
- Understanding of API structure and API interaction design
- Systems thinking across interconnected developer-experience surfaces
- Experience using AI tools in your workflow
- Ability to translate developer pain points into design improvements
- Communication skills for articulating design decisions to technical stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Map and improve the end-to-end developer journey across the CLI, API, SDK, and related surfaces
- Design AI-assisted and agentic UX interactions that simplify developer workflows
- Own documentation UX, including structure, findability, and connections to product flows
- Define and apply developer-facing design patterns for error messages, CLI output, API responses, authentication, and onboarding
- Identify and resolve friction in developer workflows
- Align developer-experience patterns with the broader console design language
