About the Role
You will lead technology-related research projects and guide Associate Directors and Research Assistants. You will develop research plans, analyze industry and government data, assess geopolitical and technology trends, deliver reports and briefings to senior stakeholders, and collaborate on cross-cutting research and external engagements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, international relations, security studies, political science, or a related discipline
- 5 to 10 years of defense research and analysis experience
- Expertise in technology policy, geopolitical assessment, and strategy development
- Understanding of techno-economic competition, including AI, chips, and biotech
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills
- Leadership or team-management experience
- Written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage technology-related research projects
- Guide Associate Directors and Research Assistants
- Develop research plans for strategic technology sectors
- Gather and analyze industry, government-policy, technology, and geopolitical data
- Identify patterns and trends in technology-related data
- Prepare reports, briefings, presentations, and strategic recommendations
- Provide leadership with status updates, action plans, and situational awareness
- Identify, evaluate, and solve research issues
- Collaborate on joint projects, cross-cutting research, and stakeholder engagements
