About the Role
You will define power-delivery architecture from the data-centre grid connection through systems and chips. You will establish roadmaps, develop power policies, guide vendors and engineering partners, validate prototypes, resolve complex hardware and firmware issues, and ensure standards compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering with specialised knowledge of Power Engineering
- Experience in power-system and power-delivery architecture, design, and development
- Experience with rack-level hardware design, including servers, storage, networking, and power distribution
- Proficiency in power hardware and firmware development and debugging
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership, planning, and design for power delivery from the data-centre power drop to systems and chips
- Establish the power roadmap and align vendor technology roadmaps
- Improve the reliability and efficiency of power-engineering components
- Specify rack-level power hardware and firmware and design for resiliency
- Set data-centre power policies for buffering, oversubscription, scheduling, monitoring, and fault accommodation
- Ensure IT power remains robust during grid disturbances and compatible with grid requirements
- Apply board- and system-level power-regulation technologies
- Guide manufacturers and engineering teams on testing and validation procedures
- Develop and test hardware prototypes
- Resolve complex power hardware and firmware issues
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
