About the Role
You will own power architecture, estimation, optimization, and verification across the accelerator roadmap. You will define power methodology from architectural modeling through silicon validation, build and validate power models, optimize low-power design techniques, and lead power-aware verification. You will partner across architecture, RTL, backend, firmware, thermal, packaging, and system engineering to meet power and thermal constraints.
Requirements
- 12+ years of ASIC design experience
- Expertise in low-power design techniques and methodologies
- Experience with UPF/CPF power specification and verification flows
- Proficiency with PrimePower and Joules or equivalent power-analysis tools
- Experience with advanced process nodes
- Knowledge of RTL design and its impact on chip power
- Experience achieving aggressive power targets in production silicon
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Define the overall chip power strategy
- Develop power models from architectural estimation through RTL and gate-level estimation
- Perform vector-based and activity-driven power analysis
- Drive clock gating, operand isolation, power gating, voltage-island, and multi-Vt optimization
- Apply memory, pipeline, toggle-reduction, and data-movement power optimizations
- Partner on IR drop, electromigration, power distribution, and power-grid planning
- Define power-on sequencing, power domains, reset sequencing, isolation, retention, and UPF/CPF specifications
- Own power-aware simulation and UPF verification
- Lead reset, low-power-state, wakeup, and power-sequencing verification
- Use AI-driven tools for power analysis and optimization
