About the Role
You will own and improve operational infrastructure and controls for trading and investment activity. You will strengthen reconciliation, portfolio management, reporting, treasury, risk, and custody processes; lead counterparty relationships and negotiations; resolve operational issues; provide reporting; support transaction activity; mentor operations staff; and lead operational initiatives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of operations, middle office, back office, or trading operations experience at a financial institution
- Demonstrate expertise across the trade lifecycle, including settlements, reconciliations, cash management, and operational controls
- Demonstrate experience designing and scaling operational frameworks, systems, and processes
- Demonstrate experience managing counterparties and leading negotiations
- Demonstrate advanced Excel skills
- Demonstrate written and verbal communication skills and experience presenting to senior leadership and investors
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve operational infrastructure and control frameworks
- Improve reconciliation, portfolio management, and reporting infrastructure
- Lead counterparty and vendor relationships and negotiations
- Resolve operational breaks, discrepancies, and settlement issues
- Shape treasury, cash management, and risk monitoring processes
- Own PnL attribution, exposure tracking, and risk limit monitoring
- Lead digital asset wallet management and custody protocols
- Represent Operations in product launches, fund structuring, and compliance projects
- Develop operational, treasury, and portfolio reporting
- Support transaction and reconciliation activity with Operations Managers
- Mentor Operations Managers and team members
- Lead operational initiatives involving vendors, budget, efficiency, security, and technology
- Monitor developments in digital asset custody, market infrastructure, and regulation
