About the Role

You will manage litigation and pre-litigation disputes across strategy, pleadings, discovery, hearings, trials, and appeals. You will advise on intellectual property, privacy, commercial, and regulatory disputes; manage outside counsel; partner with technical stakeholders on risk; respond to investigations; and build scalable litigation and discovery processes.

Requirements

• JD and active U.S. state bar membership
• At least 15 years of law-firm or in-house experience handling complex commercial litigation
• Knowledge of litigation practice and procedure
• Analytical skills
• Organizational skills
• Business acumen
• Ability to communicate legal advice to business and technical audiences
• Ability to work independently

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters and pre-litigation disputes across all phases
• Develop case strategies aligned with business objectives
• Advise on intellectual property, privacy, commercial, and regulatory disputes
• Evaluate and respond to litigation threats, demands, and disputes
• Select, onboard, manage, and collaborate with outside counsel
• Negotiate outside-counsel budgets and fee arrangements
• Partner with AI, product, and engineering stakeholders to identify litigation risks
• Respond to regulatory investigations and inquiries
• Build litigation processes, policies, legal-hold workflows, and discovery workflows
• Monitor AI, copyright, and privacy legal developments and advise business leaders
