About the Role
You will manage litigation, dispute resolution, third-party process, and regulatory requests. You will direct outside counsel, oversee discovery, develop case strategy, advise stakeholders on litigation risk, and build scalable processes. You will also monitor generative AI legal developments and support related legal matters as needed.
Requirements
- J.D. and admission in good standing with at least one state bar
- 5+ years of dedicated litigation experience, including clerkships
- Experience in copyright, class action, securities, and/or regulatory litigation
- Knowledge of complex civil litigation practice and procedure, including discovery and federal and state court rules
- Experience developing case strategy, managing discovery, drafting briefs, gathering information, and preparing deposition witnesses
- Knowledge of key legal issues in the generative AI industry
- Written and oral communication skills
- Business acumen and judgment under pressure
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritize effectively
Responsibilities
- Manage litigation, third-party process, dispute resolution, and regulatory requests
- Develop legal strategies for emerging legal questions and oversee in-house discovery execution
- Manage outside counsel through all stages of litigation
- Build and execute scalable litigation processes
- Advise stakeholders on litigation risk and align legal strategy with business priorities
- Provide litigation advice to legal team members and cross-functional partners
- Partner with Customer Support to resolve disputes and escalations
- Monitor generative AI regulatory and policy developments
- Advise AI safety, product, and engineering teams on relevant legal developments
- Develop technical knowledge of the product and industry to inform legal advice
- Support other legal domains including employment, trust and safety, policy, commercial, privacy, and intellectual property
