About the Role
You will lead and mentor a high-performing team to translate market demand and complex financial-services challenges into scalable, secure, and compliant architectures. You will advise executives and boards, run architectural discovery and solution workshops, set end-to-end architectural direction, and support delivery through to referenceable outcomes. You will interpret regulatory requirements, standardize solution patterns, and collaborate with commercial and engineering stakeholders to shape deal strategy and product direction.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in technology leadership banking or financial services transformation
- Proven leadership in building and managing high-performing teams and stakeholder management
- Senior client-facing experience such as Director of Architecture or Principal Solutions Architect within banking fintech payments or capital markets
- Ability to operate at executive and board level advising on strategy architecture and transformation
- Deep domain expertise in banking and financial services including core banking platforms
- Experience in custody treasury payments or capital markets environments
- Hands-on architectural experience across front-end and back-end systems
- Experience with cloud platforms preferably AWS
- Experience with DevOps practices CI/CD pipelines and containerization
- Experience designing and governing enterprise-grade architectures using Python Rust or similar languages
- Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript frameworks
- Experience with API-driven and event-driven architectures and database backends
- Strong understanding of regulated environments risk management and compliance-driven architecture
- Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills
- Self-starter able to work collaboratively across teams and geographies
- Languages: Swiss German German and English required
Responsibilities
- Build mentor and lead a high-performing architecture team
- Identify analyze and prioritize market needs across banking custody payments tokenization and digital assets
- Define and lead industry solution and architecture strategy
- Act as senior trusted advisor and architectural authority for clients
- Lead executive client engagements architectural discovery sessions and solution strategy workshops
- Set architectural direction for end-to-end solutions including front-end back-end integration cloud infrastructure DevOps and security
- Drive customer solutions strategy within Service and Enterprise Products
- Translate market insights and client requirements into standardized solution patterns and reference architectures
- Simplify complex architectures to accelerate enterprise adoption
- Demonstrate expertise in banking architectures core banking platforms and integration of blockchain into regulated systems
- Oversee and support complex client engagements from strategy through delivery
- Provide executive guidance on regulatory and compliance considerations for crypto custody digital assets and blockchain solutions
- Serve as Voice of the Market and Voice of the Customer to influence product strategy and roadmap
- Own creation governance and evolution of reference architectures and best-practice frameworks
- Act as senior escalation point for complex architectural and technical challenges
- Partner with commercial leadership on deal strategy solution architecture delivery models SLAs and commercial structures
- Contribute to resource planning and prioritization during strategic pursuits and deal execution
- Represent the company externally through executive briefings conferences and industry events
