About the Role
You will lead and grow engineering teams while remaining hands-on with technical work. You will set technical direction, make architectural decisions, contribute code and reviews, improve platform reliability, and partner with Product and Data on delivery. You will also hire, mentor, manage performance, communicate risks, and participate in incident response and on-call programs.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- At least 3 years of engineering leadership experience
- Experience in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, or threat intelligence
- Programming skills in Python, Go, Java, or similar languages
- Experience hiring and growing engineering teams
- Experience designing and scaling distributed systems, microservices, and cloud infrastructure
- Deep experience with data pipelines, APIs, or high-volume data processing
- Technical judgment and architectural tradeoff communication
- Communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical audiences
Responsibilities
- Drive architecture and technical strategy for platform systems, APIs, and data pipelines
- Contribute to technical design, code reviews, and critical implementations
- Lead technical design discussions and establish engineering best practices
- Debug complex production issues and implement scalable solutions
- Improve system performance, reliability, and observability
- Hire, manage, and develop engineering team members
- Provide mentorship, career development, and regular feedback
- Conduct performance reviews and develop growth plans
- Partner with Product and Data teams on scope, timelines, and tradeoffs
- Drive predictable, high-quality roadmap delivery
- Communicate progress, risks, and decisions to stakeholders
- Participate in incident response and on-call rotation programs
