About the Role

Join General Atlantic's Management Company team as a hands-on finance leader responsible for accounting operations, accounts receivable, management fee operations, reconciliations, fixed assets, financial reporting, internal controls, audit coordination, and finance transformation. The role reports to the Senior Director and operates in a player-coach capacity while partnering with offshore and shared-service accounting teams.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
  • Experience with public company closing processes.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accrual and cash basis accounting.
  • Experience with close processes, financial reporting, and external audits.
  • Understanding of full-cycle accounts receivable processes.
  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas.
  • Experience with Workday Financials, Alteryx, Power Query, or Workiva is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global, fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to operate hands-on while managing strategic and operational priorities.
  • CPA and experience with multinational or asset management firms are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly and quarterly close processes, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Manage the full-cycle accounts receivable process, including invoicing, billing, cash application, collections, aging analysis, and general ledger reconciliation.
  • Prepare management fee accruals and oversee collections from investment partnerships and affiliated entities.
  • Maintain and reconcile intercompany receivables and related-party transactions.
  • Prepare accounts receivable reports, aging analyses, and cash flow projections for senior management.
  • Improve accounting and accounts receivable processes through best practices and automation.
  • Support multi-currency, multi-book fixed asset accounting.
  • Contribute to finance transformation, process optimization, and systems enhancements.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform account reconciliations, rollforwards, and variance analysis.
  • Partner with IT to improve Workday-enabled workflows, reporting, controls, and data integrity.
  • Support 10-K, SEC, Census, commercial rent tax, and property tax reporting.
  • Mentor junior team members while participating in day-to-day accounting operations and special projects.
