About the Role
You will translate strategy into scalable engineering capabilities, operating models, and execution plans. You will establish planning and governance rhythms, define engineering effectiveness metrics, lead enterprise initiatives, improve delivery predictability, and coordinate executive communications, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering leadership, technical program management, engineering operations, or related experience
- Experience leading large-scale cross-functional initiatives in complex technology organizations
- Experience establishing engineering operating models, governance, planning processes, and execution frameworks
- Understanding of Agile development, DevOps, engineering metrics, and aerospace and defense engineering organizations
- Ability to influence senior leaders without direct authority
- Communication, facilitation, organizational, and executive presentation skills
- Analytical experience using data to improve organizations
Responsibilities
- Translate business and product strategy into engineering capabilities, operating models, and execution plans
- Develop engineering planning, governance, decision-making, and operating processes
- Identify capability gaps and recommend investments in people, processes, tooling, and structure
- Define engineering excellence initiatives for productivity, quality, reliability, and operational maturity
- Establish engineering effectiveness metrics and dashboards
- Facilitate planning, roadmap, business review, and retrospective cadences
- Resolve organizational bottlenecks and improve execution predictability
- Lead cross-functional engineering initiatives and enterprise programs
- Coordinate executive communications, status reporting, risk management, and stakeholder engagement
- Improve organizational health, team effectiveness, and leadership maturity
