About the Role
You will establish and govern reusable BMS, EPMS, and PLC-based SCADA design standards. You will author sequences of operation and points lists, develop P&IDs, define monitoring designs, manage vendor technical submissions, and own controls scope through testing and commissioning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls/Automation Engineering, or a related discipline
- At least 10 years of industrial controls, building automation, or SCADA engineering experience
- Experience authoring sequences of operation and points lists
- PLC-based SCADA architecture, I/O design, programming, and redundancy experience
- P&ID development experience
- Knowledge of Modbus TCP/IP, BACnet/IP, IEC 61850, and SNMP
- Data centre cooling and electrical power-monitoring knowledge
Responsibilities
- Author and maintain standard sequences of operation for facility equipment and systems
- Own standard points lists, naming conventions, tagging, and data-model attributes
- Develop, review, and own mechanical and electrical P&IDs
- Serve as the controls subject-matter expert for data centre cooling systems
- Define EPMS metering topology, status monitoring, power-quality capture, and alarm hierarchy
- Define vendor control interfaces and review integrator programming submissions
- Participate in FMEA sessions and own controls scope through factory, site, and integrated testing
- Ensure BMS, EPMS, and SCADA designs comply with OT network standards
- Improve controls-design standards based on field performance
