About the Role
You will oversee accounting operations, public-company financial reporting, government contract accounting, payroll, and equity administration. You will strengthen internal controls, lead the close process, coordinate audits, supervise accounting staff, and partner on financial initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Active CPA license in good standing
- Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with FAR, DFARS, CAS, and DCAA audit processes
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and SOX compliance
- Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition for long-term contracts
- Proficiency with ERP systems
- U.S. citizenship
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review SEC filings, financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures
- Support SOX compliance and internal-control testing
- Coordinate quarterly reviews and annual audits with external auditors
- Oversee FAR, DFARS, CAS, DCAA, and government contract accounting compliance
- Manage financial close processes, cost pools, allocations, revenue recognition, and general ledger integrity
- Design and improve accounting controls, policies, and procedures
- Oversee equity compensation accounting and administration
- Oversee multi-state payroll operations and payroll controls
- Supervise and develop accounting professionals
- Support special projects, M&A due diligence, and strategic financial initiatives
